1.2. Plenary lectures given by invited speakers that will focus on specific topics related to energy.
1.3 Two group sessions per student (See Section 3).
The plenary lectures will take place in auditorium B7b A202 during the second semester, every Tuesday morning from 8:15 am to 10:15 am.
Information about the evaluation procedure for the class is summarized in Section 4. Past exams are given in Section 6. Presentations used during the plenary lectures can be downloaded from Section 2.
2. Presentations
A new version of the presentation material related to a class may be put online on the day before the class.

3. Group sessions
During the group sessions, students will present in English a subject related to energy. Every group will be supervised by a professor from a department of the faculty of applied sciences of the ULg as well as an English teacher. Students will attend two group sessions in total. During every one of these sessions, they will present with one or two other students a subject related to energy. The subjects are assigned to the students. Every presentation will last around 15-20 minutes and will be followed by 15-20 minutes of discussion. Every session will number around 5-7 presentations. The number of students per session will be in around 20-30.

4. Evaluation
The evaluation will be based on (i) a written exam and (ii) the quality of the presentations done by the students. The written exam will count for 65% of the final grade. Every presentation will count for 17,5% of the final grade. The material for the written exam will cover all the material from the plenary lectures. The students will be noted on three criteria for their presentations: scientific content (3/6), presentation skills (2/6) and ability to answer questions from the audience (1/6).
