On Monday, the 25th of June 2018 at 14 o‘clock there will be the official start of the Interreg project TREE in the Volkshochschule Aachen, Peterstrasse 21-25.
This project is a Euregional Interreg Project in cooperation with partners of the four regions: the Dutch province Limburg, Belgian Wallonie, the state North Rhine- Westphalia and Rhineland Palatinate.
The aim of the project is to achieve a better integration of refugees through exchanging experiences and expertise in the four regions and joint development of a training, which will be used in all the regions.
The international project group, consisting of twenty experts from different professional backgrounds will develop training modules.
Both, paid and volunteer workers, who guide refugees, can qualify through this training to do their work even more fine-tuned for the needs of the refugees.
Volkshochschule Aachen, which has a profound experience in giving German language trainings to refugees, accomplishes the role of leading partner of the project.
Mr. Marco Martiniello, Professor at the Centre d’Etudes de l’Ethnicite et des Migrations` (CEDEM) of the University of Liege will held an initiatory
lecture :„Refugee Integration and Refugee Integration Policies in the EU: Ambiguities and Perspectives“.
Besides Interreg Maas-Rhine, the sponsors of the project are: the state North Rhine- Westphalia, the state Rhineland Palatinate , the Province Limburg, Netherlands and the Province Wallonie, Belgium.
The invited guests are representatives of different organizations, which work in this field in the four regions.
