The distinction of  » Honorary Citizen  » is awarded to those who contribute or have contributed by their action, to radiate the City of Liege , inside and outside its borders and who work or have worked to its development and its successful development in all areas .

The award is presented by the Mayor on behalf of the College of the City of Liege every year just before the festivities of the 15th of August in Liège
